About me
Hello lovely — I’m Lesley, and welcome to my cosy corner of the internet!
I’m a specialist decorator by trade, an artist at heart, and a lifelong dabbler in just about anything that involves creativity, colour, or a bit of good old-fashioned making and doing.
Over the years, I’ve painted walls, gilded furniture, sewn baby clothes, fixed wobbly shelves, knitted woolly hats, and probably glued my fingers together more times than I’d like to admit. I’m a one-woman creative whirlwind — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
This blog is where I share the joyful chaos of it all — from paint splatters to pastry crumbs, stitching to sanding, with the odd rambling thought or mindful moment thrown in for good measure.
You’ll find decorating tips, crafty projects, DIY tricks, home cooking, and a generous sprinkling of everyday joy. I’m not trying to be perfect — just perfectly *me* — and if that resonates with you, then stick the kettle on and settle in.
I’m an older lady (young at heart, thank you very much) and still full of energy — though I am trying to swap a few of the ladder-climbing jobs for something a bit gentler on the knees. This little blog is part of that plan: a place to share, inspire, and hopefully connect with fellow creatives, curious souls, and anyone who enjoys a good natter and a bit of crafty magic. To pass on the things I learnt at my Mother's knee. That doesn't seem to happen so much, any more.
So, welcome to *Life with Lesley*. It’s lovely to have you here — now, where did I put that glue gun?
